Had quite a warm day and the river was up - which made for smoother travelling actually as we didn't have so many large rocks to crash into, we could mostly float over them. It's only a grade 2 where we were, and considering how smooth all that extra water made, and the wonderful raft we had (commercial quality) we had a very smooth trip. Actually we would all have loved some bigger rapids so we could have had more bounces
Came just a tad close to capsizing as we were on a bend with very strong
current, and hard up against a rock wall. "Gee, look at that water spilling over the side of the raft"! We managed to get the weight right somehow
and capsize was averted - just.
Despite our safe travel, everybody ended up in the water with the help of fellow team member. It really was fun as we had all been tramping together, so the teamship was in full strength .. thereby giving everybody the right to push comrades over the side.
I survived with war wounds only of one bee sting on jaw and one slightly bruised hip Seem to have a couple of other bruises appearing on me in a few places - goodness knows how they got there!
I can't give you any pics as I didn't dare take my camera on that journey, but a couple of the others took the risk. So if I get anything I'll put them up.
