I'm sure I typed it up last night... but I'm away down south this weekend. Heading down to Wanaka & Queenstown. The place rate extremely high on
my list of favourite places to go, especially Wanaka as it's not quite as commercial as Queenstown and it's less crowded. I have two friends going in
a mountain bike race/expedition and it's across land travelling from the back of Wanaka and comes out at a little place called Arrowtown (very close to
Queenstown) They will travel through an area that has been brought up by Shania Twain about 3 years ago, and part of the conditions to the sale were that
there would be public access to some of it, for a walkway kind of thing. It is very prestigious and beautiful, so I'm glad that locals haven't been
shut out of it. In an effort to keep the area from going to the pack, there are fairly strict consents needed regarding the housing built down there.
Original plans for Shania's house were rejected and sent back. Wouldn't know how things went after that - probably okay as no more of it was in the
news and that was a while back!
