When did you get it? What colors is this forum. I am not talking about the white Quick Reply box or New Post/Reply box either. What is the screen size (size of monitor). In a few months I have to buy a new computer for this one is dying a slow death and the tech gave me just a year on it and that was way back in mid December 2007.

Hey, mine's an ultrasharp as well (cost about another $100), also by Dell! I ordered mine over the net, paid by CC and it was sent out to me from um... Singapore/Bangkok... somewhere over there. Had it within about 7 days.

My old monitor is also a flat pannel but its about 5 1/2 years old now so nothing compared to a new one at all. They are much better and brighter. What color does the screen look on your monitor Saffy?

Jess, I think the brand and age of the thing makes a big difference! Mine is an UltraSharp 21.2 inch monitor put out by Dell.

Perhaps the brand of monitor is making the difference. Mine is a Flatron L1750Q

So weird. I've a flat monitor too, and it's a good quality one (I believe) as I paid a bit more for it, to get it extra sharp. Figured I could treat myself, being so keen on photography.

I have a larger flat monitor. Perhaps that makes the difference in colour. Now I am wondering what colour you see on my board. The very back background is black but the actual message board etc is the colour I have described. It really is very nice.

What? really? How on earth do you get brown? I can understand Andrea saying it looks black - perhaps with her old monitor... but brown? I'm curious now.

My old monitor makes it look predominately black with a hint of blue. The text area is lighter black than the side frame. It is really easy to read being that the text itself is white except for our signatures. I like it too but I wish it were brown to me, too. Old monitor. The tech gave me just 1 year on computer anyway. Looking around to see how much money I'll need by then.

Saffy you say in your post that the colour scheme is a dark blue. It is a very rich chocolate brown for me. Very nice. I does have a hint of blue along the top edges though which looks really nice.

I'm here. Not often, though, doing Massey papers and snowed under with intellegence (no I have none, the Study Guide does). Saffy, it was wrong of me to complain about the colour, go ahead and choose whatever colour you see fit for your site.

I like it the way it is, too. Maybe the frame could be just a tad lighter. Wouldn't hurt the text at all since white does show up well.

I might go back and make it all dark blue.... Gunner found it a bit hard on the eyes, but he doesn't look like he'll be about much.

I like it the way it is. The font shows up well against the dark colour so it's not difficult to read. I would like to see some colour on the inside pages though.

Yes I think it is fairly easy to change your profile name - I understand you can have up to 5 of them, and just switch. Kind of an overkill I think, for those people who want to hide behind new names, there's plenty they can make up to confuse.

Using that Wysang editor in the post area you can set a background color of your post. I like that!

I asked my friend over on the other board how she changed background colors. As soon as I here from her; I will let you know Saffy!

Also I checked about changing my username to something else (i.e. another profile name I have) and you can not merge profiles. Sad but true. However, when we can delete them I...

Now if they would only fix that profile problem I have and get my good old KC and IPB username back in use. When I originally signed up for ezboard way back in hte early summer of 2001; I just wasn't savy enough to use a fake username so I picked this old thing. Now I know better!

Well, don't blame you for wanting the easy way out. I can't stand much HTML either. I'm on another Yuku board so I know you can use those colors. I don't know how Nancy did it, though....

Lol... I want to take the easy options first Andrea, rather than start attacking all that html again. I must admit I was very impressed with the staff in the help forums when I asked how to fix something - both of these schemes had words squashed up at the bottom, and I wanted to rectify that. Well, would you believe ..... they just went and fixed it for me. All done. Fabulous! I've really so little time to spend decorating a board like I used to.

Well, this white background hurts my eyes. Trying to see if Yuku will merge my profiles into one so I can get my favorite username back. Any place in the Admin ara for a background hex code? If so try #A5F6CA and see what folks think. Or maybe #8BB0D0 instead. See which you like.

I'm curious for your opinions on the colour scheme...

I really like the dark blue which is in place when you arrive at the forum. I've had a comment from one person, that they find it a bit dark. I may be able to get it in another colour and I've made enquiries.

However, there is this option also.

Any thoughts?
